Gabriella
Parisi is a Rome based artist inspired from science who works with
different visual art forms: video art, painting, drawing,
photography, collages and readymades. Her interests stretch across
disciplines of philosophy, astronomy, game culture, poetry,
interactivity, neuroaesthetics, neurohacking and neuroscience. Her
art is a work in progress to fix the impermanence of a physical,
virtual and conceptual world in constant evolution, where all
certainty and personal stability dissolve itself along the borders
of new signs, unknowns and paradigms dictated by the technological
unfolding.
Influenced
by the scientific imagery and ancient art, especially Greek and
Roman art, the work of Gabriella Parisi is mind-boggling in its
richness of detail, realized with elegant and elaborate forms full
of brilliant colors. The dazzling array of Neuroscience images has
emerged as a strong influence in her recent work. Gabriella
synthesizes these experiences between art and science through her
own background in contemporary art, developing her unique style
with paintings and dizzyingly complex
readymades.
